Reverie

 

“Susan!” Emma called.

Susan didn’t hear. She stood with a distant look in her eyes. She was wool-gathering about Emma and her. Would they last? Was it worth it if she was going to get hurt again?

This was written with the prompt wool-gathering for Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt #92.

I had to look this term up. I had never heard of it before.
