Silver Lining
This had to be the worst date ever. She had agreed to meet Tasha on Valentine’s Day and Tasha just sat there talking about herself all evening. Julie was unable to get a word in at all and had resorted to drinking. The cute waitress with long brown hair shot her an understanding smile. Julie smiled back. After the date ended she walked to the waiting taxi.
“Excuse me miss you forgot your receipt.” Julie turned, the cute waitress handed the receipt to her and left. Written on the other side was the name “Amy” and a phone number.

That was a good ending. Last time I was there she came to me and said ” where is my 20% tip”.

Yep, it worked out as it should, just not as she first expected.

Like how things turned around. And these people who monopolize conversation exist. I speak from recent experience. (shudder)

A happy ending. Reminds me of the saying that we have two ears and one mouth, which boils down to that we need to listen twice as much as we speak.
