Getting Over It
After her girlfriend moved out Kayla wished she was impervious to emotions. She just didn’t want to feel anything anymore, not the hurt nor the sadness that went down to the very core of her being. She wished her heart was dead so she wouldn’t have to deal with anything like this ever again. She locked herself away and chose to be alone, but all it did was leave her gnawing at the ends of things in the dark. It was only when she emerged into the sunlight once more that she began to heal and feel better again.

So sad! Good job showing depression and the desire to be dead inside.

“gnawing at the ends of things in the dark”
very stark. But things end
like an endless night
by dreams and by daylight
