The Affliction

I think I’m cursed. I’m usually a quiet soul around others so I’m left to my own devices, but if I come across someone I click with, then I can’t stop talking to them and this makes them think I’m some horrendous chatterbox and they eventually distance themselves.

One time this woman moved into our flat and I could see she was a kindred spirit so I tried to impress her with my arcane knowledge and humorous stories, but as usual it was to no avail. All it did was drive her away. What should have been a long friendship became a rather short one.
