The Old Farmstead
Cindy surveyed the farmstead that once belonged to her grandparents. The last few months she had been clearing the land and getting it ready so they could sow crops again. Of course she couldn’t have done all this without Jess’s help. And now it was time to tackle the farmstead. It was, after all, where Jess and her were planning to live. It was the first time she was stumped about what to do. From the look of it, the farmstead was going to need a lot of work.
“I’ve never done any home renovations on this scale before.” Cindy said.
“Neither have I. I’ve only ever worked as a farmhand, not a builder.” Jess replied.
“So how do we approach this?” Cindy felt flummoxed.
“I’m sure we can work it out.” Jess answered. “There’s nothing the two of us can’t do.”
Cindy smiled and put her arms around her.

Ha. They have the right attitude, but that place needs some serious work! Great story. 🙂
