Return to the Farm
After their wedding, Jess and Cindy returned to the farm. They stood at the doorway.
“Since you’re my wife now, I guess I should carry you over the threshold.” Jess suggested. Cindy put her hands on her hips.
“Excuse me? You’re my wife too. Maybe I should be the one who carries you?” Cindy objected. Jess laughed.
“With those slender arms? You’d be lucky to pick me up.” Jess countered.
“We’ll see about that!” Cindy replied defiantly. To Jess’s surprise Cindy strongly picked her up and carried her over threshold.
“I love it when you act butch.” Jess laughed.

A great take on the prompt, Joanne. I can assure you that I would have never allowed Terence to carry me over the threshold and, at 100 kg, I wouldn’t even try to carry him.

OMFG DID I MISS THE WEDDING WHILE I WAS ON HIATUS!?! If not, a flashback scene would please me so much!

No you didn’t miss the wedding. The Jess and Cindy stories aren’t often in chronological order. I’m sure there will be a wedding story sometime. π

Ha! That’s a great interaction. I’m enjoying the story of Jess and Cindy, and happy to see that you are writing (exploring) it without concern for chronology. When you have lots of scenes drafted, you can play with plot structures to figure out how to bring it all together.
