Lost in the Suburbs

“If this isn’t the road we’re looking for, then I’m a pickled herring.”

“Okay…”

“What the hell… Blighs Road?”

“Looks like we’re still lost, and apparently you’re a pickled herring.”

“Funny.”

“And yet you don’t laugh.”

“Nothing here connects up the way it should.”

“You ever thought of looking at the map on your phone?”

“I think I have a pretty good idea whereabouts we are. I think I can find the right way.”

“That’s big talk coming from a pickled herring.”

“I don’t see you helping.”

“I’m just happy to hang back and watch you get us lost. I haven’t been this amused in ages.”

“I guess I’m just a joke to you huh?”

“Now you come to mention it.”

“This isn’t the right road either. I think I will check my phone.”

“Gosh, if only I had thought of that…”

“People would like you more if you weren’t so sarcastic all the time.”

“Really?”

“Okay it’s back the way we came. We’re in the right area just going in the wrong direction.”

“I think that pretty much sums up my life at the moment.”
