Slayer

 

Shelley opened her eyes in the darkness. Tonight was going to be very special. It was the first night she would go out to hunt on her own. She had only recently been turned, and now it was time to prove herself.

She walked out of the crypt in anticipation for tonight’s feast, but almost immediately, she felt a thud in her chest.Ā  Standing before her was a young blonde woman with a determined look on her face. Shelley looked down and saw a wooden stake was now lodged in her heart. It was the last thing she ever saw.
