Unreciprocated (poem)

unreciprocated

we never kissed

or even touched,

though i imagined

what it might be

like as your lover,

you seemed both

attracted and repelled,

the nuances of our

desires, i said i

loved you, but

all i got was

silence

  1. Been there also. Ended up pursuing it later also, and found out Spock was right: “Sometimes wanting is more pleasing that having”.

My lesson there was to set aside those situations and find somebody who truly appreciates you for who and what you are. 🙂
