Ongoing (poem)

many astronomers think

the universe is endless

boundless with galaxies

going on forever

like my love

for you

This was written with the prompt endless provided by Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt #172.

Lately I bought the soundtrack of 2001: A Space Odyssey on iTunes as it was only $11. I mainly bought it for the tracks by György Ligeti which I’ve always found fascinating, but unsettling. In the film, Ligeti’s tracks are used with the monolith (both Earth and the Moon) and when the Discovery arrives at Jupiter and Bowman starts traveling through vast distances of space. For some reason that music coupled with the blackness of space is chilling, or so I find. I was listening to this soundtrack as I read today’s WordPress feed…

Please donate! 🙂
