How to Win Friends and Influence People (poem)

How to Win Friends and Influence People

“If this is what you’re offering

I’ll take the rain”

R.E.M.

I’m not the best

to rectify things,

if I talk

it’s all garbled

I hide instead

hoping the world

will disappear

and me with it

there’s no point

when communication

just fails

I hide instead

  2. I get that. To me, communication is the most important thing in any kind of relationship and when that breaks down… unlike you, I do not hide. I freak. Loudly. I curse. I swear. I throw things. I make unforgivable accusations. Then I walk away. Here endeth another non-communicating relationship.
