Movie Night
Donna had spent the afternoon cleaning the lounge as she was having a movie night with a new friend she had made. When Simone arrived they decided to watch Mulan first.
“But first we need something to snack on!” Simone declared and she pulled out several bags of microwave popcorn. A short time later Simone reappeared holding Donna’s largest bowl full to the brim with popcorn.
“You must really like popcorn!” Donna commented. Simone smiled.
It was while watching the movie that for the first time, as they both reached into the bowl for more popcorn, their hands met.

I want to move to a place with cool summers where I can watch movies in my backyard. I’ll keep my hands out of the popcorn…

That’s well told. So simple it’s sweet, a quiet beginning for these two.

Popcorn can be so romantic! I’d fall in love over movies and popcorn.
