Unproven (flash fiction)

Unproven

“Your pancakes are the best in the world.” she said

“No, the best in the galaxy.” I claimed.

Shortly afterwards a flying saucer landed in the backyard. Two green beings a metre tall with conical noses appeared.

“Human, you said your pancakes were the best in the galaxy.” said one.

“Outrageous claims need to be verified.” said the other.

“We’ve tried better on Cangen IV.” said the other.

“Critics huh?” I said after they left.
