Afloat

One night Sonya’s yacht was smashed against some rocks during a tempest. She had abandoned ship and clung onto a piece of wreckage like some desperate water rat. The rest of her yacht quickly disappeared under the turbulent waves.

Now it was some indeterminate time later. She still clung on though she was extremely thirsty and so tired, so very tired. When she looked up and saw the wind turbines before her through the haze, the first sign of civilisation she had seen for days, she thought maybe she would survive this yet…
