Cindy dug another hole. It was yet another one of Jess’s schemes to create income from the farm, other than from the corn they grew. This time Jess reckoned they should grow apples.
Cindy had never thought she would end up being on a farm. She had dreamed of being a writer living in a big city. That said, she was more than happy living here with Jess.
“You still planting trees? I thought you’d be done by now.” Jess said.
“Sorry, I seem to be daydreaming a lot today.” Cindy answered her. Jess smiled.
“No problem. I’ll help.”
