Winterland (poem)

Winterland

1

did i tell you
i was cold

in winter everything
dies
ice
has no opponent

my naked feet
slip over old
affections

2

what surprising lack
of depth -

shallow streams directly
from the snowline
brimmed with sharp
bladed
icicles

the frost of our distances

my love
aren't you frozen

like me?
