Bad Pixies (flash fiction)

Bad Pixies

Cindy was walking along a path when a pixie suddenly appeared and flew around Cindy’s head.

“Hi!” Cindy said, feeling slightly bewildered.

“Hi there.” the pixie replied.

“Whatcha doing?”

“Just hanging with my friends.” the pixie answered.

“Your friends?” Without warning Cindy was suddenly engulfed by a countless number of pixies flying around her.

“Begone pixies!” someone shouted. The pixies quickly flew off. Cindy saw an elf approach.

“I didn’t know pixies could swarm.” Cindy told them.

“They’re just a gang of bad pixies.” the elf replied. “They’ve been terrorising a number of travelers around here lately.”

“Bad pixies?”
