Mission to Mars

 

An all-female crew was sent to Mars as studies showed that women work together better as a team and having a single-sexed crew would avoid crew members getting frisky and having sex.

However by a strange chance the entire crew turned out to be lesbian. As they watched Mars approach at glacial speed, the entire crew enjoyed a fun few months traveling there, much to NASA’s annoyance.

This was written with the prompt glacial provided by Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt #110.

 

This was inspired by an actual NASA report recommending an all-female Mars mission to avoid astronauts having sex. Which struck me as rather naive about human sexuality. Weren’t they aware of same-sex attraction? Lesbians do exist… If you want to read more about it, read this and then this. To be fair the report was meant to have been written some time ago, but still…
