Down the Drain

Zuruzarog lived in the slimy drain. Over the years she grew until her tentacles stretched out into the stinking pool. She fed on rats and the occasional bird. What she really wanted was one of those bipedal creatures that walked by. She reckoned they would be tasty.

One day a man came close to the pool inspecting it. Just come a bit closer! thought Zuruzarog.

“I’ll have to complain to the Council about this pool. It stinks! I’ll write a strongly worded letter to the paper as well!” He declared.

To Zuruzarog it was just noise. These creatures made peculiar grunting sounds. The man leaned in closer and her tentacles shot out dragging him in. After quickly swallowing him, she spat him out. These creatures were revolting! She gargled some fetid water to get rid of the taste.

The man, now wet and covered in slime, ran off in terror.
